The owner of this tower/villa and I go way back. Rai was the owner of the  shop I rented in  Positano for 10 years. Since she did up the tower I have been sending friends and family here to enjoy their holidays in Positano. Some townsfolk said it was haunted - by a freindly ghost. I knew my mother had an affinity with spirits ( both kind in the old days) so very curiously booked her into the tower one year for a holiday. She never complained about strange things going bump in the night and woke up  smiling every morning. I can only think if there WAS a ghost, it must have been charming!

Description:
Torre Porta is an XII century cylindrical tower from Medieval times perched directly above the main beach of Positano and boasts magnificent views overlooking the sea and town of Positano.

It has a large circular master bedroom in the form of a junior suite with vaulted ceilings and canopied king size bed ( 160 x 195 cm) with mini bar and hot plate. Descend a short flight of stairs into a  cool & spacious bathroom with shower . Or ascend an outside staircase to enjoy the breathtaking view from the “star gazers” terrace at the top of the tower.  The surrounding terraces of the tower are a perfect private solarium and dining area for lunch or evening meals which can be prepared in the full working kitchen in the tower’s adjoining annex which also has a comfortable sofa bed for two children or one adult and en-suite bathroom with shower. The annex is fully air conditioned while the tower does not require it with its thick medieval walls. A dip pool has recently been beautifully placed on the sea side of the tower which is available to guests of the tower and the adjoining villette Colomba & Colombina also owned by the same proprietor. Naturally it has steps directly down to a delightful small and semi private beach.

This property has telephone, satellite TV, CD player, High Speed Internet Access and built in safe.

Extra on request:
Heating is available at 10 euro a day or  70 euro a week.
Extra maid service is available at 12 euro an hour ( 2 hour minimum)
A cook is also available at the same price and time limit.
Baby sitters can be arranged at apx  20 euro an hour

Rental Conditons:
Clients should arrive between 2 – 7 pm. Later arrivals will attract a surcharge of 50 euro and there will be no check ins after 10pm . Please notify owner if you are aware of travel problems. 
Checkout time is before 10am on your day of departure.
All train, flight and/or ship arrival details are appreciated on the time of booking.  And mobile phone numbers are requested where possible to keep track of arrivals and departure.

An advanced food supply can be organized prior to arrival with a 25 euro cash delivery fee to be settled on arrival plus the expenses of the delivery. E.g. breakfast food, wine, fresh bread, cheeses, cold cuts, coffee etc, so please make sure you let us know on booking if you require this service.

Tariffs and Seasons for 2012:
High Season –  May12  – Oct 6  @ week -  2850 €
Low Season –  April 7 - May 12 & Oct 6 - Nov 24 -  @ week - LS  1850 €

Security Deposit:
There is a 200 euro deposit to pay in cash on arrival for damages and phone charges. This will be reimbursed on departure minus any expenses incurred.
